Garnet is frustratingly difficult to photograph, especially the darker stones - but there is some astonishing fire in the large garnet, and flickers of it in the smaller ones. From a distance the large stone will look almost black, but in the right light you’ll see an astonishing blood-red with flickers of brighter crimson.
